I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again -I love getting to know my customers! Each and everyone of us have a story to tell and learning about them and where they come from is always of interest to me.
As Cabin Crew, most of us often share that the best part of the job is the travel. As great of a perk as that is, I truly believe that you learn more about a destination by the people who live there. They make it what is it, which is why the passenger stories category of my blog is so important to me. My favourite part of being Cabin Crew is, after all, meeting you!
I recently published a poll on my Instagram stories asking you if you liked to read them, and an overwhelming 90% of you said that you did! This excites me. As Cabin Crew, interacting with our customers is a huge component of our job. A simple conversation can teach you many things and these small interactions can leave lasting impressions.
When I was younger, I flew with Spirit from Detroit, United States to Orlando, Florida for a family vacation. I was about 12 at the time, and it was my first ever flight. While I can’t remember much about it, I do remember that the flight attendants handed my family two Disney posters for my sister and I. This was something that they didn’t have to do, but it stuck with me all of these years. It is also one of the reasons why I try to make someone’s day on every flight and try to get to know our guests from the moment they board our aircraft.
Having a blog and a larger social media presence has allowed me to share these moments with you. It has given me a voice; an opportunity to showcase the many exciting memories I’ve created over the past few years. As my platforms continue to grow, I want to keep inspiring you guys to travel, to spread positive energy and to try new things without fear. I want you guys to have conversations with people you don’t know. Learn a thing or two about one another and maybe, just maybe, we can make the world a better place in doing so.
Thanks for being a part of my crazy journey around the world. I hope that you will continue to share in this experience with me, no matter where I go!
