This week, I got to visit another one of my bucket list destinations, Stockholm, Sweden! It was just as beautiful as I imagined. The weather was cool, there was a tiny bit of snow on the ground, and there were Christmas decorations everywhere! It was just what I needed to experience before the holidays.
As soon as we landed into ARN, a group of us decided to go out as soon as we could. It gets dark in Stockholm around 3pm in the afternoon, so we didn’t have much time before the sun set to explore the city! Thankfully, our hotel was located downtown, not too far from Old Stockholm. This gave us the opportunity to catch a view of the city skyline before nightfall.
Afterwards, we took a stroll through the Christmas market in Old Town, bought a couple last minute gifts and grabbed dinner at an Italian restaurant. We were all exhausted from the flight, so we headed back to the hotel for some rest following our meals. We had a pretty early wake up call for our full flight the next day too, and knew that we would need all the sleep we could get!
The locals told us that Stockholm is even more beautiful in the spring/summer. I hope to be back around then!
