Dubai Airshow 2017

This year, Emirates is showcasing it’s largest static aircraft display to date at the Dubai Airshow. I am proud to share with you that I will be joining three of my colleagues: Jarad, Elizabethe and Doyle, as official Emirates social media broadcasters for the duration of this event.

The Dubai Airshow brings together some of the leading airlines, manufacturers and suppliers for a 5 day exhibition showcasing the latest products, services and technologies in aviation.

Our first task this week was to broadcast the Emirates Boeing 777-300ER and Emirates Airbus A380-800 flying display at the Dubai Airshow live on Facebook. This special fly-past event was the first time two Emirates wide body aircraft have performed a flying display together, each brightly adorned with the HH Sheikh Zayed decal as a tribute to the late founding father of the UAE:

Emirates also unveiled its brand new Boeing 777-300ER with enhanced First, Business and Economy class cabins. I was also privileged to be a part of its release:

Lastly, Emirates announced a $15.1 billion order for 40 Boeing 787-10 Dreamliners. The agreement was signed today in the presence of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum, Chairman and Chief Executive, Emirates Airline and Group, and Boeing Commercial Airplanes President and CEO Kevin McAllister.

These new aircrafts won’t be delivered until 2022, but it is something more to look forward to as Emirates continues to grow.
