Hello from Toronto, Canada! I never get bored of visiting home, but this time around I thought I’d change things up a bit.
When I lived in the city, my condo was located next to the CN Tower. We were neighbours, and I loved walking by it each day.
Built on February 22, 1974, it has become the staple of the city’s skyline. It once held the record for the world’s tallest free-standing structure until 2007, and was the world’s tallest tower until 2009. It was overtaken by the Burj Khalifa in Dubai, United Arab Emirates and the Canton Tower in Guangzhou, China.
I’ve been to the CN Tower many times before, BUT in November 2011 a new attraction was added: EdgeWalk. It takes visitors on a 30 minutes walk outside and around the circumference of the building’s observation deck, 356 metres above downtown Toronto. It has broken the Guinness World Record for the highest external walk on a building and has been on my bucket list ever since. I’m so glad that this time around I finally got to check it off with my friend, Emily!
If you would like to participate in EdgeWalk, the cost is about $250 CDN and includes a 10 minute video of your tour, a printed photo of your experience and a certificate containing a unique number, solidifying your place in the history books as having successfully completed a Guinness World Record. Fun fact: I am the 146,294th person to have done so!
I haven’t posted a YouTube video in ages and thought that this experience was worth sharing with you guys. That being said, I have to give a special thanks to the CN Tower for providing me with video footage from my walk, and our wonderful host Min for his warm hospitality and hilarious commentary. I hope you enjoy it!

Omg, you’re brave. But honestly, as someone who lives in the city, I can’t even think about forking out $250 to hang from heights. I’ll just live vicariously through your vlog 😛
