4 years 10 months, 73 countries, 100+ destinations, 4,036 flying hours and my Emirates journey has come to an end.
About a month ago, along with hundreds of my colleagues, I was made redundant. We walked into the same training college where our journeys began, to be handed a “golden” envelope that informed us we would no longer be flying.
We don’t always understand why things happen the way that they do, but I’m incredibly thankful to Emirates for the places I’ve been, the people I’ve met and the memories I’ve made!
This adventure has challenged me in more ways than I could have ever imagined. I got to host a live broadcast in front of 2M+ viewers at the 2017 edition of the Dubai Airshow, launch our game-changing first class suites, develop content for EK’s digital platforms and represent EK in the media globally on our Business Promotions team! I even got to be a part of a Guinness World Record on #EK2019!
These times have been tough on the aviation industry as a whole, but it’s up to us to maintain our passion and positivity despite the negative circumstances. I will always love flying, and am hopeful that one day I will return to the skies again. Every ending leads to new beginnings, and I’m excited to see what’s next!
That being said, if anyone is looking for a VIP flight attendant or social media/PR manager, please get in touch!
As always, thank you for the love and support.
