Nearly four and a half years ago, I boarded an Emirates aircraft bound for Dubai, United Arab Emirates. I was looking to start a new adventure. Now, 73 counties and 150+ destinations later, I can say that I found more than that. I found my second family.
Yesterday, we operated EK’s last flight to Seattle, Washington, for an indefinite period of time. In doing so, we had the pleasure of reuniting North Americans with their loved ones back home as borders around the world slowly close, and Emirates operations come to a halt for two weeks.
While we are not entirely sure when we will take to the skies again, we will carry the memories that we have made over the years here with us forever, wherever we go. With smiles under our masks, and our heads held high, we know will come out of all this stronger, together. #WeWillFlyAgain #UnitedByWings
Thank you to everyone who has sent kind, supportive and encouraging messages to myself, my colleagues and all others effected by these challenging times. Please stay safe, everyone!
